Hyderabad / New Delhi — Mirai (also known as Mirai – Super Yodha) has opened in theatres with a bang, registering a worldwide gross of ₹27.20 crores on its first day, according to figures shared by lead actor Teja Sajja on social media.
Here’s how the opening day unfolded:
- In India (all language versions combined), Mirai collected about ₹12 crore net on Day 1.
 - In Teja Sajja’s home market of Telugu, the film saw strong occupancy rates: morning shows began at ~56%, rising through the day to ~70–80% in evening/night shows.
 - Other language markets yielded more modest numbers: for example, Hindi occupancy stayed around 10–11% on its opening day.

When compared to HanuMan (2024), Mirai has surpassed its predecessor’s opening day performance:
- HanuMan’s worldwide opening day gross was about ₹23.50 crores.
 - Mirai’s ₹27.20 crore puts it ahead, marking a new personal best for Teja Sajja.

Outlook
The strong opening suggests Mirai is off to a promising start. Whether it retains momentum will depend on:
- Weekend holds, especially in non-Telugu markets
 - Word-of-mouth and reviews, particularly around its fantasy and mythological elements
 - Competition from other releases in various regions

If current trends continue, Mirai could emerge as one of the bigger hits of Teja Sajja’s career.
